San Dieguito Academy Robotics: Regional Finalists in Arizona!

San Dieguito Academy’s “Team Paradox,” FIRST Team 2102, had the time of their lives at the Arizona Regional over the weekend.

They were ranked #4 after the seeding matches, and after “Alliance Choosing” found themselves leading the #3 alliance alongside Arizona Teams 1828 and 991. In the semi-finals they knocked out the 2nd seeded alliance. Their alliance advanced to the finals and finished in second place.

In addition, they received the Chrysler Team Spirit award AGAIN, so the team was called to the stage twice during the awards ceremony.

One of the Arizona teams provided a live stream so those that could not make to Arizona were able to watch the excitement live. There were two other San Diego teams at the event – 2839 “Daedalus” from Escondido and 812 “Midnight Mechanics” from the Preuss School at UCSD. The three teams sat together to represent Team San Diego, cheering each other on even in the finals when they were were on opposing alliances.

The team wishes to thank all of their sponsors for financial support and mentorship. This was the best season ever!
