SAT and ACT test prep classes and boot camps begin this summer.

Shouldn't you be getting ready for the SAT?
SDAF is working with both Revolution Prep and Catalyst to provide test prep to our students on campus for every SAT and ACT offered in this school year. Students have the option of two-day or six-week classes, depending on their needs, as well as taking a “mock” SAT or ACT test.
A portion of the fees for these classes will be donated to the SDA Foundation, which we will use to offset the budget situation facing our district. (All proceeds from the “mock” tests will benefit the Foundation.)
Mock SAT and Mock ACT practice tests provide students with practical experience taking these tests, as well as performance analysis and feedback. Test cost is $20. All proceeds go to the SDA Foundation.
Revolution Prep (www.revolutionprep.com) offers six-week classes for ACT and SAT prep. The cost is $499. All classes are held on the SDA campus.
There is one ACT prep class, which will be held in October for the December ACT. For more information on this ACT class, please download this flier.
There are three SAT prep classes available:
For more information on any of these SAT classes, please download this flier.
Catalyst Boot Camp (www.CatalystPrep.com) offers two-day “boot camps” for ACT and SAT prep, held prior to SAT and ACT testing dates. The cost is $165. The classes are held on the SDA campus.

Congratulations to Jake Novack and Mitch Fierro who qualified as a policy debate team for the NFL National Tournament to be held in Kansas City June 14-18!!!
We will also be cheering on teammates qualifying and competing at the State Championships to be held at Bakersfield College on April 16-18:
On March 18, San Dieguito Academy’s Academic Team, the Mustang Minds, dominated La Costa Canyon’s Academic Teams to wrap up an intense season!
The SDA Frosh team started things out by annihilating LCC. It was a real nail-biter when SDA’s JV took over, just narrowly executing a win over LCC. In the Seniors’ final game SDA’s Varsity team emerged victorious!!!
Check the Academic Council site for next year’s tryout dates and other Mustang Minds information.
Congratulations to the SDA’s Mustang Speech and Debate team and coach, Mr. Todd Newkirk. A great time was had by all as Derrik Marow and Michael Wimsatt advanced to the fourth round of Policy, going 2-2 over the weekend. Marc Lococo placed just shy of the semifinals in Impromptu on a tiebreaker based on the three preliminary rounds.
Schools in our league also performed well. La Costa Canyon’s, Reza Zomorodian and Brian Castello progressed to the semifinals in Parlimentary Debate. Brian won 4th overall in the Original Oratory event. Also, Helix Charter High’s Public Forum team of Brown and Chertkov won second place overall!
Congratulation to all our outstanding students.
Our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Newkirk for his tremendous dedication throughout the year. Thank you, parents and friends, for your continued support!
Stay tuned for the National Tournament news and upcoming parent coordination events for 2011-2012…
