SDA one of 11 California schools invited to participate in video contest for $25,000

San Dieguito High School Academy won an invitation to participate in Hurley’s “Walk the Walk” video competition, a feat that has already earned our school $500 but which could ultimately bring in $25,000 for our arts program.

The winners are chosen by the number of votes they receive. (If you’d like to vote for our school, please click here. You’ll need to create an account in order to vote.)

This is the first year San Dieguito was invited to participate. Our regional competitors include two previous winners: San Clemente High School (won in 2007 and a runner up in 2008) and Lincoln High School (won in 2008). Other schools in our division include La Jolla High School and Carlsbad High School, among others.

Participating schools must create 3 videos, the first of which is meant to explain what our school is all about. You may view SDA’s first video here.

Winners will be chosen by the number of votes they receive. If you’d like to support SDA in this competition, please vote! Go to the submitted video here.

You will be asked to create an account with Hurley, then need to log in with that account information before you are able to vote. You’ll know you’ve voted successfully when you see the following message:

According to Mr. Rod Keillor, students are already planning the second video: Hurley sent them a box of clothing which they must use in a creative way.

Go, Mustangs!
