Peter Rowe inaugural speaker in new Alumni Lecture Series
In honor of San Dieguito’s 70th Anniversary, the SDA Foundation launched their first ever Alumni Lecture Series at a dinner on Nov 3rd featuring Peter Rowe.

The event was held at a private home with underwriting support for the dinner provided by Yogi’s Sports Bar and Restaurant in Cardiff. Invited guests were those donors who contributed at the $500 and above level to the SDA Annual Appeal and the Performing Arts Center capital campaign.
Mr. Rowe, San Dieguito class of ’73, columnist with the San Diego Union-Tribune and a past President of the National Society of Newspaper Columnists, entertained the audience with stories of his days at San Dieguito, his travels as a Fulbright scholar and reflections about his journalism career.
This was the first in a series of three events designed to invite outstanding alumni back to San Dieguito to share their experiences and career stories. The second speaker in the series will be NFL legend, Tom Dempsey, class of ’68, former place kicker for five major league NFL teams.
