Greetings 88 Mustangs,

In the interest of injecting a little fun in our 20-year reunion we decided to reach out to everyone to assist in adding a little spice, humor and even some friendly competition to the event. Just like every other reunion in the history of high school, we’re obligated to recognize certain classmates for their outstanding accomplishments over the past two decades. While we understand that the true motivating factor for most of us to attend is to find out whose name goes down in Mustang infamy for having “Least Changed” or “Lives Closest to San Dieguito”… we can do better!

We’d love to hear any ideas you might have for some fun, unique and interesting awards categories. Forget the Atkins diet, drop the new gym membership and don’t even consider the hair plugs — this isn’t about who has held it together physically over the past twenty years.

For those of you who own businesses or work for companies that would like a little shameless, nearly free publicity, we’re looking for some donations to recognize the stellar accomplishments of our fellow classmates. While we all certainly covet the water bottle or mouse pad with your company logo, we’re really hoping to provide something that gives our nominees a little incentive to participate. So here’s what we’re looking for from you…

1. AWARD IDEAS- Give us your best creative award categories. Some of those on the short list so far are Best Body Art, Best 80’s Hair, and Oldest Child 2. PRIZES- Any donations that could be awards to the winners. Gift certificates, clothing, dinner for two, free trip around the world, etc. It’s obviously a business write off and we’ll mention you and your company in the program.

We understand that the evening is all about catching up with old friends so we are committed to keeping this portion of the evening light, fun and quick. We’ll circulate ballots during dinner, bring the nominees up to the front of the room and choose the winners by applause at the end of dinner. Then it’s time to party!
