In the past two years, all SDA’s Academic teams have qualified at least once for their respective national competing events!

For ways to support SDA’s teams for 2010/2011 School year, check out the Academic Council Forms page or attend the next Academic Council Meeting on Monday, May 24th-6:30 pm in SDA’s Conference Room.

A great time was had by all as Derrik Marow and Michael Wimsatt advanced to the fourth round of Policy, going 2-2 over the weekend. Marc Lococo placed just shy of the semifinals in Impromptu on a tiebreaker based on the three preliminary rounds.

Schools in our league also performed well. La Costa Canyon’s, Reza Zomorodian and Brian Castello progressed to the semifinals in Parlimentary Debate. Brian won 4th overall in the Original Oratory event. Also, Helix Charter High’s Public Forum team of Brown and Chertkov won second place overall!

Congratulation to all our outstanding students.
