Course Description: Meets VPA/UC/CSU requirements. Recommendation: Instructor approval or audition. This advanced level, year-long course, is designed to provide the opportunity for instrumental music students to be part of a musical ensemble that rehearses and performs various styles of music throughout the school year. Students enrolled in the class should play at an intermediate to advanced level. Students at this level should be comfortable with reading and recognizing scales, various rhythmic patterns, key signatures, and standard music terminology. HW per week: 120 minutes.
Congratulations to the 2012 Wind Ensemble for their Excellent rating at the El Camino Band Festival, and their Unanimous Superior rating at the Poway Music Festival!

Incoming 9th graders – by appointment at SDA during week of 4/30, by appointment, between 2:30 and 3:30 PM
Current SDA Students – Thurs. 4/26 and Fri. 4/27 during class
Returning SDA Students – by appointment during the week of 4/30
