Band Registration and Auditions

8th graders attending SDA next year have the choice of two band classes, Wind Ensemble I (S) or Wind Ensemble II. Wind I is the more advanced ensemble while Wind II is usually the appropriate class for incoming freshmen. The natural progression for middle school band students will be to go into Wind II. There are no auditions necessary to be placed in Wind II.
For those of you interested in auditioning for Wind I, please view the audition requirements. Due to COVID-19, we are doing video auditions this year. They are due by May 27th and may be submitted here.

*On your course selection sheet, all 8th graders should sign up for Wind II. If you choose to audition for Wind I and are selected for the group, Mr. Wuertz will make the schedule change on his end.
