Cabaret Night is a variety show dinner fundraiser featuring students from the Music & Theatre Departments. This is our single biggest fundraiser of the year, so we hope to sell out again this year! Musical acts include instrumental solos, small ensemble pieces, and large ensemble selections. Theatre acts include monologues and scenes. Comedic relief is provided throughout the evening by emcees from the Theatre Department. Guests are greeted with sparkling cider and hand-passed appetizers when they arrive. They are then treated to a wonderful dessert, served by the performers themselves. An opportunity drawing, featuring great prizes, is held at the event to assist with the night’s fundraising efforts. All of the elements combine to create a great experience for guests and performers alike!
Our 5th Annual Cabaret Night will be held on March 3, 2012 at 6 PM in the SDA Performing Arts Center. Tickets will be go on sale in mid-February so be sure to mark you calendars. Last year’s ticket price was $30 for adults and $10 for students. We have not yet finalized the ticket price for the 2012 Cabaret Night. This year, the SDA Culinary Arts Program will once again provide a fabulous menu of items prepared with care by our very own SDA students.
Auditions for student-selected acts will take place in mid-February. Additional auditions will be conducted by Mr. Wuertz and Mrs. Siers as needed until the program is filled. Please see Mr. Wuertz or Mrs. Siers if you are interested in performing in this year’s Cabaret Night.
