Each year, students from each of the 4 district high schools are nominated for the Coastal Communities Concert Band’s Honor Band. The 2012 CCCB “Salute to Young Musicians” concert will be held on Sunday, April 29 in the SDA Gymnasium at 2 PM. Students who are selected for this group are invited to perform several selections with the CCC Band. They will also have an opportunity to audition for music scholarships in the amount of $750 or $1,500! This year’s TENTATIVE rehearsal schedule is as follows (this information has been formulated from last year’s schedule):
Monday, April 9 (optional Spring Break rehearsal) – 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, Crest Hall at Oak Crest MS
Monday, April 16 (mandatory for all participants) – 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, Crest Hall at Oak Crest MS
Monday, April 23 (mandatory for all participants) – 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, Crest Hall at Oak Crest MS
Scholarship auditions will likely be held by appointment at Oak Crest from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM on Monday, April 23.
