Sports Update — 10/13/15

The fall athletic season is at the midway point, and the Mustangs are playing well.

Our Girls’ Volleyball team is currently 16-3 and won a tournament in Las Vegas to start the season. They also have had three players named player of the week by the Union Tribune.

The Girl’s Golf team is 4-3 in league and set a best team score against San Pasqual, shooting a 258 at Encinitas Ranch.

The Lady Mustang Field Hockey team is young and taking their lumps this season, but the great news is that they had enough girls come out for the team that they added a JV team.

Water Polo is playing a tough schedule this year and holding their own at 9-8. The team is young, and its future looks very bright.

The Cross Country team has been very competitive in the Bronco and Mt. Carmel Invitational and has one of its biggest teams in years.

I save the best news for last; our Tennis team, which is currently 5-5, has a new home. For the past three years, both the boys and girls teams have been road warriors having practice and games everywhere but SDA, while our courts were under construction. That all has changed as of early October, when they opened their brand new tennis facility.

Come out and watch all the Mustangs in action!
