Wineva Stillman, 75
07/12/1934 ~ 06/12/2010
ENCINITAS — Wineva Stillman passed away Saturday, June 12, 2010 after a lengthy illness, with her loving, devoted husband and children at her side.
She lived most of her life in north San Diego County and Brawley, Calif. She grew up on her parent’s dairy “Rancho Del Mar” in Rancho Santa Fe, helping her mother feed the ranch hands living in the bunkhouse three meals a day. She rode her horse “Honey Girl” all over the countryside every chance she had.
Wineva married her high school sweetheart Robert and together they raised three children. She worked with and managed Robert’s dental practice in Brawley for 32 years before retiring in 1994 and moved back to where they were raised.
Her greatest joy was spending time with and cooking for her family and friends. She cherished her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren and loved reading to them. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Wineva is survived by her husband of 57 years, Dr. Robert Stillman of Encinitas, Calif.; brother, Bill Haralson (Sue) of Arco, Idaho; children, Dr. Ronald Stillman (Debbie) of Brawley, Calif., Sue Stillman Rodrigues (Ron) of Rancho Murieta, Calif., Denise Stillman (Steve) of Ventura, Calif.; grandchildren, Timothy Stillman, Kattie Sue Stillman, Aaron Moran, Jill Harwood, Julie Medina, Ashley Rogers; nine great-grandchildren; and long time best friend, Joan Mote (Dan). She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Lorene Haralson. Funeral arrangements will be private.

Mary Louise Insko, 70, of Cardiff-by-the-Sea, passed from this world March 31, 2005 after a valiant but short battle with cancer.
Mary was born on December 6, 1934 in Oak Harbor Washington but has been a long time resident of the Cardiff-by-the-Sea. She worked many years at what is now Union Bank, but retired, along with her husband Monty Insko.
After their retirement, they traveled extensively, visiting destinations ranging from Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, up the Mississippi on a Riverboat, sailing the Panama Canal, across the United States many times by travel trailer, and to their favorite cruising destination, Alaska.
Mary was extremely active in her faith with Pacific View Baptist Church, singing in the choir, helping in the office, kitchen, and garden along with many other ministries. She was also very instrumental in planning her 50th Class Reunion for the graduating class of 1952 from San Dieguito Union High School.
Mary gathered often with her Forest Home Bible Study friends and had coffee with the “Union Bank Retired Gang” on a regular basis. She will be missed by many.
Mary was preceded to heaven by her son Kenny Gilbert in 1975 and her husband, Monty Insko in 2002. She is survived by her sister, Jean Grube; her sons and daughters-in-law Rob and Jeanne Gilbert, Bob and Margie Insko, Steve and Susan Insko, and her daughter Nadine Linares. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Brandon Word, Sihaya Roselle, Heather Muehlbauer, Riley Insko, Laura Linares, and Kevin Linares.
If giving is your desire, donations can be made in Mary’s name to Pacific View Baptist Church. A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 9 at 3 p.m. at Pacific View Baptist Church, 845 Santa Fe Dr., Encinitas, CA 92024.
