“So sad to have to say RIP Kevin A Remington who passed away this morning a little after 5 o’clock a.m. at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank. He fought an amazing battle over the last several weeks in the ICU. An amazing man and artist that will be eternally missed. Kevin will be cremated and a memorial will follow within the next several months.”

Joseph Siegel, 46 ENCINITAS — Joseph Siegel passed away Saturday, August 8, 2009. He was born October 14, 1962 in Perth Amboy, N.J., son of the late Milford and Elizabeth Siegel. He was a graduate of San Dieguito High School and attended The California Maritime Academy. Joseph is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Arnold; and brother, Jeff Siegel. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am, Thursday, August 20, at Saint John’s Catholic Church in Encinitas.
VENARD, CHARLES P. Charles Peter “Chuck” Venard, 39, a 26 year resident of Leucadia, died Thursday, June 14, 2001, at his residence. Born March 19, 1962, in San Diego, he attended San Dieguito High School from 1976-1980 where he held the school record for the bench press in weight lifting. He was awarded the volunteer Youth of the Year Award in 1979 at the North Coast Family YMCA in Encinitas. A gifted artist and musician, he is best known for his keyboard and guitar work. He was an employee of Harbor Freight Tools of Escondido. Chuck also was a Youth Worship Team Leader at North Coast Calvary Chapel. Survivors include father and mother Terry and Rhoda Venard of Leucadia; sister and brother-in-law Jennifer and Randy Cox of Encinitas; grandmother Dorothy Vanderhyde of Encinitas; and grandmother Vi Venard of Vermillion, South Dakota. A memorial service will be held at NCCC at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2001. The family suggests contributions in his memory be sent to the NCCC Youth Ministry, c/o North Coast Calvary Chapel, 7188 Avenida Encinas, Carlsbad, CA 92009. El Camino Memorial/Encinitas Chapel
