Mrs. Luscomb was born on March 13, 1923, in New Ulm, Minn. In 1928, she and her family moved from Mankato, Minn., to San Diego County, where they settled in Solana Beach. There, Mrs. Luscomb and her two sisters received their primary education in a two-room schoolhouse. After graduating from San Dieguito High School in 1940, Mrs. Luscomb attended secretarial school in San Diego, and she eventually took an administrative position at Point Loma Elementary School. In 1942, Mrs. Luscomb married Donald Armand Luscomb, who preceded her in death in 2004. A homemaker since the birth of her first child in 1945, Mrs. Luscomb enjoyed camping and traveling, especially with her family. Among the many international places she visited were Italy, Germany, France, England and Mexico, along with domestic destinations including Yosemite, the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone and a family ranch in Healdsburg, Calif. For many years Mrs. Luscomb sang in the Lemon Grove Methodist Church choir. She was also very active in her children&#8217;s lives and participated in various educational and youth organizations, including the PTA, Camp Fire Girls (Bluebirds), Little League and Cub Scouts. Mrs. Luscomb is survived by children Donald, Carol, Neal, Brian (Teresa); granddaughters Natalie, Katharine, Emily, Lillian; sister Ina Wall, San Diego. He received a BS from San Diego State University and an MBA from Stanford University. He served three years in the Army during WWII. He worked for 31 years before his retirement in 1979 for the accounting firm of KPMG and was Managing Partner of their San Jose office. <\/p>\n<p>Roy was very active in the community, serving on many boards and the Grand Jury. He was married to his beloved wife, Ann, for 56 years until her passing in August of 2008. He is survived by his daughter Carol, son Kevin, daughter-in-law Donna and four beloved grandchildren. <\/p>\n<p>Memorial Service &#8211; Saturday, August 11th at 1 PM, Alameda Family Mortuary, 12341 Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road (http:\/\/www.funeralcremation.com ) with a reception to follow at Florentino Trattoria. ELLIOT<\/strong><br \/>\nSeptember 29, 1922 &#8211; July 19, 2016<\/p>\n<p>HAROLD ELLIOTT, a resident of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, was born September 29, 1922 in Detroit, Michigan, a son of Harold and Ida (Esling) Elliott, Sr. He departed this life Tuesday, July 19, 2016 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, at the age of 93 years. <\/p>\n<p>Harold proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp., during World War II. He loved his family and friends.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his two daughters, Betsy Bell of Eureka Springs, Arkansas and Jo Ann Miller of Camarillo, California. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Alexander of Prescott, Arizona; two grandsons, Joshua Allee and Eli Bates; five great-grandchildren, Tyler Allee, Tanner Allee, William Allee, Bella Allee and Rowyn Bates; and two great-great-granddaughters, Adalynn and Gracynn Allee; several other family, friends and loved ones. <\/p>\n<p>He was united in marriage with Dorothy Mignon Elliott who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ida (Esling) Elliott. <\/p>\n<p>Arrangements were under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. He was born in Los Angeles and was a senior test flight engineer for General Dynamics.<\/p>\n<p>He served in the Army Air Forces and was a member of the E.A.A. and the Clipper Club.<br \/>\nSurvivors include his daughter, Susan; sister, Barbara; brother, Don; and one grandchild.<\/p>\n<p>Services have been held.
