\nVarsity Head Coach:\u00a0<\/strong>Sean Keenan
\n<\/strong>The 2025-26 season will be Sean Keenan’s first year at\u00a0San Dieguito High School Academy. Coach Keenan brings 17 years of coaching experience across all levels of high school basketball in California and North Carolina. Immediately prior to taking over the head coaching role at SDA he served for three years as an assistant coach at the NCAA Division III level at Bard College and Willamette University. During his time at Willamette University, Coach Keenan was the primary architect of the offense, helping lead the team to a noteworthy season in 2023-24. That year, Willamette finished among the top 10 scoring offenses in NCAA Division III and recorded the program\u2019s most wins in the past 16 years.<\/p>\n

In addition to his role as head basketball coach, Sean Keenan also serves in the San Dieguito Union High School District as the district’s math coordinator and Co-Chair of the math department at Canyon Crest Academy. He attended UC San Diego where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics as well as a Master’s Degree in Math Education.<\/div>\n

\nVarsity Assistant Head Coach:\u00a0 Ty Gibson
\n<\/strong>Coach Ty Gibson has been with the SDA Basketball program since 2020, coaching both Freshman and JV teams during that span. He is also a teacher on SDA’s campus, working in the district’s Seaside Program. Prior to joining the SDA faculty, Coach Gibson attended UCLA, working as a student manager for the UCLA Women’s Softball Program while earning a degree in Political Science. Coach Gibson is a proud SDA alumni (Class of 2014), where he played basketball all 4 years.<\/p>\n
