SDA Golf Program Mission<\/h3>\n

The coaches at SDA will strive to:<\/p>\n

  1. Foster a culture of excellence, integrity, and sportsmanship both on and off the golf course.<\/li>\n
  2. Develop skilled athletes and confident leaders through dedication, teamwork, and personal growth.<\/li>\n
  3. Inspire a lifelong love for the game of golf by promoting passion and commitment.<\/li>\n
  4. Instill values of discipline, perseverance, and respect for others.<\/li>\n
  5. Celebrate successes and learn from challenges to build resilience and character.<\/li>\n
  6. Encourage camaraderie and mutual support among teammates.<\/li>\n
  7. Balance athletic achievement with academic excellence by emphasizing the importance of education and time management.<\/li>\n
  8. Promote community involvement through volunteerism, outreach programs, and acts of service.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    SDA Golf Quick Summary<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Home Course – Encinitas Ranch Golf Course<\/li>\n
    • Team Size – Typically 6 to 9 members per team (Varsity and JV)<\/li>\n
    • Varsity Level of Play – Top Varsity players can shoot below par to 40 for nine holes<\/li>\n
    • Junior Varsity – We welcome all levels, skilled and developing talent.\u00a0 It is essential to have beginning talent to develop for varsity play<\/li>\n
    • Season – Spring, February through May<\/li>\n
    • Time Commitment – Monday through Thursday only, no weekends<\/li>\n
    • Practices – 3:45pm to 5:15, unless playing a practice round then approximately as late as 6:30pm<\/li>\n
    • League – Currently we belong to Coastal League in the North County Conference<\/li>\n
    • Weekly Matches – Varsity approximately 16 to 18 matches, JV approximately 10 matches<\/li>\n
    • North County Conference League Tournament – 36 hole tournament at the end of the season<\/li>\n
    • CIF San Diego Section Tournament – 36 hole tournament 18 hole cut<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
