Will Raschke is a native San Diegan and discovered his love of volleyball one summer through pickup beach volleyball games. From there he went on to play for Torrey Pines where he was on varsity for three years as an outside hitter and libero.
While he was a student at UCSB, Will played libero for the school’s club team and won two state championships. Off the court he volunteered with an at-risk youth sports league where he coached several sports and found that he enjoyed working with kids.  This led to him getting his first paid volleyball coaching job at Earl Warren in 2011 and later getting his teaching credential and M.Ed. from USD in 2013.  Between 2011 and 2018 he coached a combination of mens and womens club and high school teams, with highlights including five league championships and a CIF state quarterfinal run. In 2018 he was privileged to be chosen to run the girl’s volleyball program at San Dieguito Academy, where he has also been teaching since 2019.
Will’s coaching philosophy emphasizes hard work, dedication, discipline, selflessness, and the ability to love competition, love one another, and love the game of volleyball in order to optimize a student-athlete’s ability to realize their potential both on and off the court.
In his free time Will is an avid woodworker, amateur horticulturist, enthusiastically average tennis player, and proud sci-fi/fantasy nerd.  In the wild he is most likely to be spotted around Encinitas at a bar trivia night, feeling utterly lost about pop-culture and music questions.

Taylor Hoff grew up in Encinitas attending El Camino Creek, Oak Crest, and graduating from San Dieguito Academy HS in 2012. He played practically every sport in his youth and found his love for beach and indoor volleyball at Moonlight when he was 13.

Taylor chose to stay local after high school first going to Mira Costa Community College then transferring to CSU San Marcos. While in college locally Taylor not only found his passion for teaching but also took up the head JV coaching position at SDA when he was 19 in 2013.

Taylor is now the head varsity boys indoor coach, assistant varsity boys beach, and now assistant varsity girls indoor volleyball coach at SDA. He also teaches K-6 PE at La Costa Heights Elementary. He is very passionate when it comes to sports at his Alma mater not just in volleyball but all athletics at SDA.  He coached at Wave for three seasons but lost interest in coaching non SDA players, which goes to show his loyalty to SDA.

While Taylor is not coaching or teaching you can most certainly see him at Moonlight beach playing volleyball, always  old school rules sideout big court. He encourages all of the players he coaches to join and have fun. He also enjoys playing spikeball and soccer with old club teammates, hiking and camping, traveling over the summer, and trying out local breweries in North County.

Taylor wants everyone to succeed this season and is looking forward to having a great time coaching such talented athletes.
