SDA Foundation: Enriching the Student Experience

SDA Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit that supports quality programs and innovative classroom practices. Our mission is collaborating to enrich every student’s SDA experience.

The Foundation provides essential funding to support the ever increasing costs of quality education. The funding picture for schools has changed dramatically over the past few years. The needs of our school have far outpaced available funding from the district and state. Today educational foundations all over California are filling the gap between limited public funds and the dollars needed to support educational goals.

We do this through donations and various fund-raising efforts throughout the school year. It is our belief that every student benefits from the united efforts of parents, teachers, administrators, students and community members working together to promote educational excellence.

The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of parents, students and school administration. The Executive Director oversees and manages the daily activities of the Foundation.

The Foundation is the support and coordinating organization for volunteer and fundraising activities at SDA. All SDA parent groups, teams and councils including Athletics, Academic, Grad Nite, Music, Theater Arts, Visual Arts, the Alumni Association, Student Support Services, and our Veterans Advisory Committee operate under the non-profit umbrella of the SDA Foundation.
