San Dieguito Academy Dance

Encinitas, California

The San Dieguito Academy (SDA) Dance Program is a dynamic and evolving program dedicated to cultivating well-rounded and disciplined dancers. Through a combination of performance, training, and leadership opportunities, students are challenged to grow both artistically and personally.

The program offers two distinct tracks: a competitive Varsity team and a performance-based Junior Varsity team, allowing dancers of varying experience levels to find their place and thrive. Across both teams, dancers train in a range of styles including jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and pom, while developing strong technical foundations and performance quality.

Beyond the studio, the SDA Dance Program emphasizes commitment, collaboration, and character. Dancers are held to high standards of accountability and are encouraged to take ownership of their growth, support their teammates, and represent SDA with pride.

With opportunities to work alongside guest choreographers, perform in school and community events, and contribute to a growing legacy, the SDA Dance Program is building a culture of excellence, creativity, and connection.

Performance Opportunities

Performance is at the heart of the SDA Dance Program. Throughout the season, dancers have the opportunity to take the stage in a variety of settings, from our annual Spring Show to school events and community performances.

Varsity dancers also compete at regional and national competitions, gaining valuable experience in a high-level, team-focused environment. Each performance is an opportunity for dancers to grow, connect, and share their work with others.

Whether performing for peers, judges, or the broader community, SDA dancers are trained to show up with confidence, commitment, and pride.
