Our Mission Statement

The San Dieguito High School Academy Foundation (SDAF) was established in 1997 as a 501c3 California non-profit corporation. Our mission is to support the unique culture and quality programs of the San Dieguito Academy by generating financial resources and promoting active parental and community involvement.

The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of parents, students and school administration. The Executive Director oversees and manages the daily activities of the Foundation.

The Foundation is umbrella organization over all parent groups at SDA and as such coordinates the volunteer and fundraising activities of its member councils: (Athletic, Music, Theater Arts, Academic, and Grad Nite).

The Foundation provides essential funding to support the ever increasing costs of quality education. The funding picture for schools has changed dramatically over the past few years. The needs of our school have far outpaced available funding from the district and state. Today educational foundations all over California are filling the gap between limited public funds and the dollars needed to support educational goals.

We do this through donations and various fund-raising efforts throughout the school year.
It is our belief that every student benefits from the united efforts of parents, teachers, administrators, students and community members working together to promote educational excellence.
