2023-24 SDA Boys Club Beach Volleyball

Boys Beach Volleyball Assessments begin after school on Wednesday, August 16th from 4-6pm(ish) at Dog Beach Del Mar (right across from the Brigantine/Racetrack).

Team Parent, Mindy Legere, will be there to gather names so please check in with her when you arrive.

What to bring:

  1. Water
  2. Sand socks (Del Mar has dark sand, i.e. hot) These socks are available at sporting goods stores.
  3. A good attitude
  4. Having a decent lunch in advance is a good idea too.

Depending on turnout we will have 2 or 3 teams – Varsity, JV, and possibly a Developmental Squad.

Teams typically practice 2 days a week and have one weekly match once the season begins.  More details will follow tryouts.

Here are some things to know about the SDA Beach volleyball program:

  • We do our best to accommodate all players who desire to play
  • We coach all levels.
  • We support and encourage multi-sport student-athletes! (Many of our coaches play a variety of sports. We think it is good for kids to be well-rounded.)
  • Boys Beach Volleyball is a “club” sport, therefore the school athletic clearance process does not apply
