Tom Dempsey to be inducted into the San Dieguito Hall of Fame

Tom Dempsey (’64), who held the record for the longest field goal kick for 43 years, will be inducted into the San Dieguito Hall of Fame on Friday, October 14, 2016. All are invited to this free event!

The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held in front of the Bell Tower at 3:30 pm, immediately after our Founders Reception. Family representatives will be on hand to receive the replica tile matching the 12″ x 12″ brick in Phase 5 of the Mustang Legacy Project.

In February, 2008, Tom was the featured speaker in that year’s Alumni Lecture Series, which he made a memorable quote: “Who are the only people we know who have never failed? They’re the people who’ve never tried anything.”
