Coast Dispatch news clipping showing the front-page news: San Dieguito High School’s First Class!
80 years ago on June 9th, 1937, San Dieguito held its first commencement ceremony EVER, at the La Paloma Theatre in downtown Encinitas. That first herd of Mustang alumni consisted of 30 graduates.
To celebrate, the City of Encinitas declared June 9, 2017 San Dieguito Day at our Senior Farewell Assembly. Councilman Tony Kranz ’77 read the proclamation!
To sweeten the day, County Supervisor Kristin Gaspar also read a proclamation honoring our school for winning the CA Gold Ribbon Award for academic excellence!
GO, Mustangs!
