On Valentine’s Day, we honored the coach who brought San Dieguito’s 1964-65 boys basketball team to the Avocado League and CIF Championships, Henry “Ben” Annison.
We had a great turnout of alumni, including LeRoy Putnam’s family. During halftime Coach Annison was honored on the court along with Jeff Elliot, Butch Jensen, and Jeff Frick, all Class of 1965 and members of the winning team. Will Putnam stood in for his dad, LeRoy, another well-loved team member who is now deceased.
