Winter Schedule Update

Players and Parents,

It has been a good winter and we are getting much needed rain. Unfortunately for baseball not good for field play! The forecast shows more rain tomorrow and chance Friday morning. Today I decided to give the boys a day off, probably good to get home early to do homework,  finals are coming up.

Last weekend games vs Carlsbad were canceled and the JV and Varsity Game this weekend vs. Sweetwater will also be canceled if rain comes down tomorrow. With no sunlight and consistent rain the field does not have a chance to dry out. The next week looks great! Should get some sun Saturday through next Wednesday. SDA Baseball – Farmer’s Open Fundraiser Ticket Sale

Hello SDA Baseball Families.
It’s that time of year…
GolfTix1
The first real fundraiser of the season is upon us. SDA Baseball will again be selling discounted Farmers Insurance Open tickets. This is historically one of the main sources of funding for our program so I encourage all the players to do their best to participate in this effort. This is my 4th and final year handling this fundraiser (my son is a senior) so if any other parent is interested in taking over, I welcome your assistance!

The Farmer’s Insurance Open is a top-tier PGA tournament held each January at Torrey Pines in San Diego. This year’s tourney runs January 28 – 31st.
We are selling these tickets under a program called “Support our San Diego,” or S.O.S.D. Supporters benefit in 2 ways – they’re saving $$ off the retail ticket cost AND giving back in a big way. It’s the perfect season for gifting so hopefully the timing will assist your player in making those sales.

TICKET PRICING & SALES
For each $35 discounted ticket sold, $25 comes right back to SDA. And, of that $25, 10% is directed to our school’s foundation and a full 90% comes right back to baseball. That means every ticket sold by SDA baseball makes $22.50 for the program!

Preferred method of payment is by check (easier to track). Checks should be written out to SDAF with “baseball” noted in the memo line. Cash is also accepted. Sorry but credit cards are not accepted this year.

Comparatively, retail/online tickets purchased directly through the Tournament cost $40 until January 1, 2016, at which time the ticket price will rise to $50. This means that those who purchase tickets from our players will not only be benefitting a great cause, but will also be receiving a $5-$15 discount off of the Tournament ticket.

OUR TICKET SALES BEGIN 12/05/15 and RUN UNTIL THE 01/14/16 DEADLINE.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email/call/text me.
Thanks for your support. GO MUSTANGS!
