Welcome to SDA Cross Country! Whether new to the team or a returning athlete, we hope everyone has a positive experience.

The Cross Country season runs August through November.

Practices are held Monday through Friday, from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm, at the SDA track.

The Cross Country Meets are usually once a week throughout the season. See the Schedule tab for more information. Meet results can be found on www.athletic.net

In order to be a member of the Cross Country Team, athletes must first obtain Athletic Clearance from the SDA Athletics Office. Athletic Clearance for all Fall sports is due on August 1st. If you have not turned it in already, please do so ASAP.  For more information on Athletic Clearance, please visit the following link:

Athletic Clearance

In addition, all student-athletes and their parents/guardians are required by the district to attend a pre-season orientation meeting, the Fall Sport Mandatory Player/Parent Meeting. The student-athlete will not be able to participate in their first contest until the student-athlete and one parent/guardian have attended the meeting. The Fall Sports meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 30 2021 in the bleachers. Masks are mandatory. Athletes will meet at 3:30 pm and the parent meeting will be at 6:00 pm. Following the meeting with the Athletic Director, each team will have their own meeting.

Support Cross Country

Parent support is critical to running the Cross Country program at SDA.




Donations from team parents are used to cover costs for uniforms, meet entry fees, stipends for floater coaches, transportation, awards and other supplies. The Cross Country program this year is asking for your support level of $200 as a voluntary, non-refundable donation per athlete. However, any donation amount is greatly appreciated. 

Donations can be made online using the PayPal button or by clicking this link.

Donations can also be mailed in or submitted to the team parent or athletic office by filling out the SDA Cross Country Parent Voluntary Donation form (found in the Cross Country Forms page) with a check made to SDAF (San Dieguito Academy Foundation) and with “Cross Country” in the memo line.

SDAF is a 501(c)3 organization. Check with your tax advisor for possible tax deductibility. If your employer offers a matching donation consider utilizing this benefit.

Forms

The following forms need to be filled out and submitted by all Cross Country team members at the start of each season. Forms will be collected at the Fall Athletic Night. Forms can also be submitted to the Team Parent.
