Daniela Freeman, Varsity Team Coach

Daniela played water polo starting in middle school in Murrieta, CA. She was Captain of her high school team her senior year and received various student athlete awards throughout high school.

She played club at Xtreme Water Polo in Corona, CA. Daniela went on to play as a college athlete at the University of Toronto, winning the National Collegiate Water Polo Championship all 4 years of her undergraduate career. She was again named Captain her senior year.

During school breaks in California, Daniela would coach at Paloma Valley High School, where her younger sisters played. After college Daniela moved to San Diego and joined a masters team that took third place at Nationals in 2019.

Daniela has her Masters of Education and teaching credential for physical education. She’s currently a TK-8 PE teacher.  Daniela Is a board member for Moonlight Beach Water Polo club and the assistant women’s coach at Grossmont College. This will be her third season coaching both the girls and boys water polo programs at SDA.

Kori Togubat,  Junior Varsity Team Coach

Kori is thrilled to coach SDA JV Girls Water Polo this year.  She enjoys every part of water polo and swimming. She thinks water polo is such an amazing, underrated sport that has so many great opportunities not only for skill and athleticism but also a chance to make some great life long friends.

Kori is an SDA Alumni and played the 45 position all throughout high school.  She currently plays on a masters team and college club. In her free time she likes to go surfing, hangout with friends and family and play pickleball.

She is looking forward to the season!
