Parent volunteers are crucial to the smooth operation of the SDA Track & Field program, which is the largest of all SDA teams!
Volunteers for Home Meets are needed for the 2025 Track & Field Season.
We need parent volunteers for the following home meets. Sign up here to volunteer at the SDA home meets.
Clerks of the Course
Two clerks will check in athletes throughout the meet. The clerks will have a meet program listing the athlete’s name and “lane” number for each event. The clerks mark that the athlete has “checked in” and provide the athlete with a number to be placed on the left hip.
Field Events
Field events give volunteers a good view and see athletes perform up close. We will need at least eight volunteers — one volunteer for each event — for high jump, pole vault, long jump, triple jump, shot put and discus. There will be at least one coach present at each event.
Block Crew
One volunteer is needed to move the starting blocks to the various start lines throughout the meet. They will help take the blocks off the track as needed. This is a great position for those who have a son or daughter in a running event.

We ask all volunteers to be at the track at least 15 minutes before the start time of the meet.
Volunteers are needed throughout the season. Please see the attached for detailed descriptions or email the Team Parent to learn more or if you are interested at sdatrackteamparent@gmail.com. *Note that the Uniform distro will be on Mon, 2/24. The date is incorrect in the descriptions document.
