Paul Coates announces casting call for next alumni theatrical event

Paul Coates (’76) has announced plans for the next alumni theatrical benefit:

CASTING: We are looking to start casting the next Benefit for SDA, this coming February – dates TBA, there will be a required week of rehearsal at the school (or nearby) leading up to the performances, 2, a matinee and evening on a Saturday, likely FEBRUARY 25TH, 2017.

This will be one of two plays (still deciding) – if we do THE MIDDLE OF IT, my second play in a series of 3 (The End Of It premiered at SDA, and so will this), I am looking for the following roles to cast from the decades of wonderful actors who finished the program:

• JACK – late 20’s, a up and coming chef in New York City. Cocky, handsome, driven.
• DIANE – Jack’s live-in girlfriend, late 30’s, witty, fun, deeply emotional (must have emotion on tap)
• SAMANTHA #1 – 40, a powerful offstage voice, this is performed live and we only hear her through a baby monitor.
