The bands perform annually in spring music festivals, some of which involve adjudication. This typically involves one or two Saturday performances during the month of March.
SPRING CONCERT AND AWARDS NIGHT
The Spring Concert is a formal performance featuring all ensembles. This annual concert is held in the SDA Gymnasium. Graduating seniors are recognized and a slideshow is played in their honor. Refreshments will be available at intermission.
Cabaret Night is a variety show fundraiser featuring students from the Music & Theatre Departments. Musical acts include instrumental solos, small ensemble pieces, and large ensemble selections. Theatre acts include monologues and scenes. Comedic relief is provided throughout the evening by emcees from the Theatre Department. All of the elements combine to create a great experience for guests and performers alike. This event usually sells out quickly, so get your tickets as soon as you can!
The Farewell Concert (formerly known as the “Coffee Concert”) is the final performance of the year, and is typically held on the last Wednesday of the school year. The concert takes place in the Performing Arts Center during a class period. This concert is special for the seniors, as they get to perform 3 selections (of their choosing) from their freshman year.
