Fundraising is crucial to keeping the music program operating. Throughout the year we participate in a variety of activities that raise needed funds to support our musicians and promote team-building and closeness within the SDA music community.
Donations to the Music Council are our primary source of funding for music coaches who provide small group instruction in our music classes and also to purchase instruments, equipment, and sheet music.

Join Music Council (Band Boosters)
Meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the SDA conference room. Please attend a meeting and consider joining our council! Participation always appreciated.

Volunteer
Each year Music Council coordinates the volunteer efforts of parents who generously provide their time, talents and energy to support programs and activities in the music department. Please watch for sign up opportunities throughout the year. We ask that every family volunteer their time for at least one event. It’s always a fun and a great opportunity to get to know one another!
Dine Out on Restaurant Nights
Our restaurant fundraisers are scheduled each month, not only to earn money for the band program, but as an opportunity for students and families to connect outside of the school environment. Restaurants will donate to us a percentage of the proceeds during a specified time.

Planned Giving
You can assure a legacy that lasts beyond your lifetime by making a provision in your will for San Dieguito High School Academy. Donors can help secure the long-term financial health of the music program through gifts that come to the school in the future or over a period of time.
These include:
- Naming SDA Foundation as a contingent beneficiary of a life insurance policy that your family no longer needs
- Naming SDA Foundation as a contingent beneficiary of your IRA or pension plan.
- Gifting your home to SDA Foundation through your will or estate plan.
Memorial or Honorary Gift
A gift to the school in memory or honor of an individual helps perpetuate the values of a loved one’s life. Gifts may honor a person during his or her lifetime, or you may honor a loved one who is deceased.
