The SDA Jazz Band is an after school club that rehearses on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. Auditions may be required, depending on the number of students interested in participating. The group is primarily composed of musicians from Wind Ensemble I and Wind Ensemble II. The Jazz Band performs at various events during the school year. The band also regularly performs for school assemblies and other school functions. Since the Jazz Band is considered a club activity, there are no school credits given.

Eligibility: Members of the Jazz Band must have at least 10 credits of band during the school year in which they intend to participate in the Jazz Band. (Exceptions are only made in the case of incomplete instrumentation) Those who are currently enrolled in Wind Ensemble I or Wind Ensemble II must have an “A” grade in order to participate in the Jazz Band.
